Munjya Box Office Collection Day 5: The horror-comedy, starring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma, has made an impressive debut at the box office. The film has shown a notable increase in collections throughout its opening days, indicating positive momentum. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, 'Munjya' introduces a unique character from Konkan coast folklore, marking the first Hindi film to feature a main character created using CGI. The cast also includes Mona Singh, Taran Singh and Sathyaraj, further adding to the film's appeal.

Munjya has continued its phenomenal run at the box office, earning around Rs 4.00 crore on its fifth day, bringing the total collection to Rs 27.25 crore in India net. The film saw an overall 17.68% occupancy in Hindi on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The breakdown of occupancy throughout the day is as follows: morning shows at 9.58%, afternoon shows at 17.09%, evening shows at 17.82%, and night shows peaking at 26.23%, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.
Munjya Budget
Inspired by a legend popular in Maharashtra, 'Munjya' brings a fascinating folklore tale to the big screen. As the movie continues to run in theatres, this horror-comedy draws from the rich cultural heritage of the Konkan coast, introducing a character deeply rooted in local myths. The film is estimated to have been made on a budget of Rs 30 crore, including prints and advertising (P&A).
About Munjya
Set in 1952, Munjya begins with a tale of forbidden love, where a young Brahmin boy strives to win Munni's heart despite his family's strong disapproval. Tragedy strikes during a perilous jungle ritual, leading to the boy's untimely death and his burial under a haunted tree, setting the stage for the spine-chilling events that follow.
