Tollywood heartrobe Naga Chaitanya is recently gearing up for his upcoming Telugu-Tamil release film 'Custody', where the actor will be seen in the role of a cop. During one of his promotions of the film, the actor spoke about the declining graph of his family at the box office, where their films have not been collecting much at the box office.

Naga Chaitanya opened up about the matter and said that the family strives to deliver positive content but does not focus on the desired result. During his interaction, the actor was asked if the Akkineni family's fans are disappointed with bad content over the last year.

From Nagarjuna's last film 'The Ghost' to Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent' and Naga Chaitanya's 'Thank You', were all big disasters at the box office. According to a report in Hindustan Times, Naga Chaitanya said, "We always strive to give good films to fans. For all their support and unconditional love, all we could give in return is good cinema. The last few releases didn't work as we expected. Highs and lows are very normal in this career. All of us have to travel through those highs and lows. That time will pass soon and we will be back for sure."

He further added, "I am very confident with Custody, which will give audiences just the kind of result they've been hoping for." His fans came to his aid and many in the comment section praised him for handling the questions quite maturely.

One social media user wrote, "His maturity level is on point." Another social media user wrote: "This is the kind of maturity all stars should have."

Talking his film 'Custody', the film is directed by Venkat Prabhu, where Naga Chaitanya will be essaying the role of a police constable. The actor also took time from his busy schedule and interacted with some of the local police constables of Hyderabad to get into the character of a cop.

Naga Chaitanya also opened up on playing the role of a cop, where the actor disclosed that he was happy. He said, "It is a role that has not been explored much in recent times. Constables are fresh out of training and they have the fire in them to make a change. The future is in their hands."

The film will be released on May 12 and also features Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Sampath Raj, and Arvind Swami in pivotal roles.
