Days after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, actor Nani brought up the viral video of a zipliner accidentally capturing people getting shot in a meadow. He called the incident ‘haunting’, stating that it will have a long-lasting effect on Kashmir. “I was seeing a clip of somebody going on a zipline and accidentally recording what’s happening in the meadow,” said the actor.

According to Hindustan Times, while talking to the press, Nani said, “As much as we all feel pain, and have something to work through, it keeps coming back. It reminds us how vulnerable (we are). We sometimes think that everything is safe, everything is fine, and these are all things of the past. But when things like these happen, we are reminded that nothing is still in control. There are still wild forces out there.”

“For me, it has been even more extremely haunting. We shot in Pahalgam, we shot there for 18 days and the kind of support we got from the locals…I remember waking up every morning and seeing Pahalgam and saying, what a beautiful place,” he said.

Nani concluded, “Now, listening to what happened, to hear people who went with families to have a good time…I don’t know how to put it in words. But it’s devastating, it’s horrific, and I just pray to God and hope.”

Pahalgam Terror Attack

On April 22, 2025, five armed militants near Pahalgam in the Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, killed 26 civilians, mostly Hindu males. The incident took place at the Baisaran valley, considered as one of the main tourist spots in J&K. The attack has now intensified tension between India and Pakistan.

Post the attack, India accused Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism. India has now suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, expelled Pakistani diplomats and closed its borders. In response, Pakistan denied the accusations and suspended the Simla Agreement, restricting trade and closing its airspace. The situation further deteriorated with border skirmishes breaking out between Indian and Pakistani forces along the Line of Control on April 24, 2025.
