Netflix has officially renewed its popular dating series, Singles Inferno, for a fourth season, reinforcing its commitment to Korean unscripted content. This renewal marks a significant milestone, as Singles Inferno becomes the first Korean variety series to reach four seasons on the global streaming platform. With this announcement, Netflix is set to launch ten new unscripted shows this year, doubling the number from 2022.
The third season of Singles Inferno concluded in January with rave reviews and record-breaking viewership. The show distinguished itself from Western counterparts like Too Hot to Handle and Love is Blind, offering a unique blend of intense drama, captivating love stories and stunning scenery. Produced by Shijak Company, the show's fourth season was officially confirmed by Netflix.
The popularity of the third season, which landed in the Global Top 10 TV Shows (non-English) for five consecutive weeks and won fans in 31 countries, played a crucial role in the decision to continue the series. Producer Kim Jae Won expressed his excitement in January, stating, “We will do our best to make Season 4 even more interesting by listening to the criticisms and feedback sent by the fans for Season 3.”
