Aamir Khan, who is back with his much-awaited film, Sitaare Zameen Par, has been making headlines after being spotted with his friend of 25 years Gauri Spratt at various social events. He first got married to Reena Dutt and then to Kiran Rao. Unfortunately, both marriages were unsuccessful, and as of now, Aamir maintains a friendly bond with both the ex-partners. Recently, Aamir got candid about his love life while being interviewed by Raj Shamani on his podcast show. He shared how he used to think that he needed to focus on himself more. The actor often used to wonder whether he’d be able to find someone as a partner at this age as he had started going to therapy and indulged in self-care.

Aamir Khan, while reflecting on his past relationships, said, "Rishta tab khatam hota hai, jab wo kaafi time pehle khatam ho chuka hai. Actually, rishta badal chuka hai, usme ek tabdili aayi hai aur aapko aur aapke partner ko baad me realise hota hai ki humlog kaafi aage nikal aaye. Ek shift aa gaya hai."

Dangal actor got candid and shared how he met Gauri ‘by mistake’ and how things were totally unexpected. Revealing that he said, "Mere do gehre rishte rahe hain, Reena aur Kiran ke saath. Aaj bhi hum dost hain. Dil me izzat hai ek doosre ke liye. Mujhe lagta nahi kisi ke saath aisa bond banega. By mistake, Gauri aur main mile aur connect hue aur humari dosti badhi, pyaar badha, izzat badhi. To wo ho gaya. Maine plan nahi kiya." On being asked about his willingness to get remarried, he laughed off the idea and said that he is fully committed but it wouldn’t seem appropriate to get hitched at 60.
