Abhishek Bachchan took a lighthearted jab at Pakistan's cricket team after former pacer Shoaib Akhtar mistakenly mentioned him instead of cricketer Abhishek Sharma during a television discussion on Pakistan’s Asia Cup final chances. The panel erupted in laughter and Abhishek Bachchan responded with humour on social media.

During a cricket talk show, Shoaib Akhtar jokingly mentioned, "If Pakistan gets Abhishek Bachchan out early on, then what’s going to happen with the middle-order?" X, "Sir, with all due respect… don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket."
