On Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Kajol stirred controversy when she agreed to "marriages should come with an expiry date" remark. Days after the episode was released, Ajay Devgn shared his take on the modern relationships and how "love has lost its meaning". Ajay said this in an interview with BookMyShow’s YouTube channel alongside R Madhavan for De De Pyaar De 2.
Ajay Devgn said in the interview, "From what I see, it has become more casual than it was. The word ‘love’ has been used so much unnecessarily that it has lost its meaning. In our generation, saying ‘I love you’ was a big deal. Now people don’t understand the depth of that word, it’s overused."
Earlier, during the This or That segment on Two Much, Twinke asked, "Should marriage have an expiry date and a renewal option?" Kajol agreed, moving to the green zone while Twinkle, Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon stood in the red. Kajol explained, "I definitely think so. What guarantees that you’ll marry the right person at the right time? A renewal option would make sense and if there’s an expiry date, no one has to suffer for too long."

R Madhavan agreed to it and said, "Even when we had to sign a card with ‘love,’ we took it seriously." Ajay added, "Now every message has a heart emoji or ends with ‘love.’"
Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s relationship stands as one of Bollywood’s most timeless love stories. The two first crossed paths on the sets of the 1995 film Hulchul, where an easy friendship gradually deepened into love. After dating for nearly four years, the couple tied the knot on February 24, 1999, in an intimate ceremony that stayed far from the media spotlight.
Through the years, Kajol and Ajay have shared the screen in several memorable films, including Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Raju Chacha and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. They are proud parents to two children, Nysa and Yug, and often credit mutual respect and balance as the foundation of their long-lasting marriage.
