Saiyaara is being hailed as the revival of the rom-com genre in Bollywood. Starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Pandey in lead roles, the film has received praise from all industry A-listers and critics alike. Joining the chorus of appreciation, Akshay Kumar has now showered praise on the film and its rising stars.

In an exclusive chat on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra, Season 2, produced by Gautam Thakker Films, Akshay Kumar, praising Saiyaara, said, “I think it's the best thing that has happened. One of the great things for the Hindi film industry is that a film with two debutants, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has worked so well. I welcome them to the industry, and I’m very happy. It’s a good sign, and for newcomers’ films to do so well is truly a big deal. He further added, “Mohit Suri has done an excellent job, his song choices are amazing, and we all know that. It’s wonderful to see the movie doing so well.”
Akshay will next be seen in the third instalment of Jolly LLB. The superstar continues to champion fresh talent in the industry with his appreciation for Saiyaara and its debutants, highlighting his keen eye for performances that truly stand out.
About Saiyaara: Saiyaara has surpassed Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 lifetime collection of Rs 237 crore, raking in over Rs 250 crore worldwide. With its steady performance, the film is now eyeing the records of Sitaara Zameen Par (Rs 264 crore) and Housefull 5 (Rs 289 crore). If Saiyaara continues its momentum, it might become the second-highest grosser, trailing only behind Chhaava (Rs 808 crore).
Saiyaara, meaning Wandering Star, is a 2025 Indian musical romantic drama film helmed by Mohit Suri under the Yash Raj Films banner. The movie marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as the lead pair, Krish Kapoor and Vaani Batra, respectively. Krish, a troubled musician struggling with addiction and emotional turmoil, finds solace in his connection with Vaani, a shy poet. As they collaborate on music, Vaani begins to heal and Krish finds grounding in her presence. However, their bond is tested when Vaani is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, leading to a poignant exploration of love, loss and memory.
