Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9: Following Season 7, Vijay Sethupathi, who is affectionately known as Makkal Selvan, took over as host when Kamal Haasan left the reality show. He immediately became a key component of the show's ongoing popularity because to his distinct style and friendly on-screen persona. Vijay Television and JioHotstar will both stream the program concurrently, guaranteeing viewers won't miss any of the drama, tactics, and emotional rollercoasters for which Bigg Boss is renowned.

Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9's theme appears to be hinted at in the promotional poster, which features Vijay grinning while standing with his arms spread wide against a diamond-patterned glass background. All About Bigg Boss Tamil 

Kamal was the host when Bigg Boss Tamil made its debut in 2017. For the first seven seasons of the show, the actor played the role. After Kamal left the reality TV show in 2024, Vijay took over as presenter for Season 8. The previous seasons of the show were won by Arav, Riythvika, Mugen Rao, Aari Arjunan, Raju Jeyamohan, Mohammed Azeem, Archana Ravichandran, and Muthukumaran Jegatheesan.

Kamal and then Silambarasan TR hosted the Bigg Boss Ultimate OTT spin-off in 2022 for the Tamil version of the show. Bigg Boss Fun Unlimited, a spin-off that features interviews with evicted contestants, was also included for Seasons 2 and 8. Following each finale, Bigg Boss Kondattam brings the housemates together for a unique occasion. Only time will tell, despite fans' speculations about who will appear on the show this year.
