Entourage cost has been a growing issue in Bollywood. The discussion surrounding the same has intensified over new actors’ demands. Now, film producer Boney Kapoor has weight in on the debate, revealing that Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor usually pay their own bills to ease pressure off the producer’s head. Speaking on Game Changers’ YouTube channel, Boney Kapoor said, "If Janhvi is travelling during a shoot, she buys her own tickets. If her staff or relatives travel with her, I’ve paid for their tickets and rooms myself."

"Mummy would be angry, but Anil said, ‘The costs are exorbitant, what should I do?’" he added.

Rakesh Roshan also recalled getting a call from Simi Garewal. He said, "Main soya nahi us raat, kyunki maine socha, kahin Hrithik bhi to aisa nahi kar raha hai. Next day subah 7 baje, maine Susheel, Hrithik ka driver, ko call kiya aur poocha ki hum kitni vans demand karte hain. Usne bola, ‘1 hi hoti hai.’ Tab meri jaan mein jaan aayi. (I couldn’t sleep that night because I thought, maybe Hrithik was doing this too. The next day at 7 a.m., I called Susheel, Hrithik’s driver, and asked him how many vans we usually request. He said, ‘There’s only one.’ That’s when I felt relieved.)"

Earlier, Farah Khan also slammed Bollywood over the rising entourage costs. She said in a podcast with Chinki Minki, "An actress brings nine people, an actor brings eight. That is a waste of resources. Woh film mein dikhta nahi hai. Woh cost. Toh I think that needs to be controlled a bit. Producers pe bahut bhari padta hain."
