After creating waves in the theatres and OTT, Vicky Kaushal-starrer blockbuster movie Chhaava is all set for its TV premiere. The film stars Kaushal as Sambhaji Maharaj, while Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna also star in pivotal rolles. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava has been bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. Chhaava will premiere on August 17, 2025, at 8 PM, exclusively on Star Gold.

Chaava made its theatrical debut on February 14, 2025, captivating audiences with its release in both standard and IMAX formats. While it garnered positive reviews from critics, the film also sparked controversy due to its historical inaccuracies, which drew significant attention and debate. Despite this, Chaava achieved remarkable commercial success, with box office earnings ranging from Rs 797.34 crore to Rs 809 crore.

Additionally, it claimed the top spot among Hindi films released in 2025. On a broader scale, "Chaava" has also etched its name in the annals of Indian cinema by becoming the eighth highest-grossing Hindi film of all time and the thirteenth highest-grossing Indian film overall, underscoring its widespread appeal and impact on audiences.
