Interestingly, if Thursday's numbers exceed expectations, it might have achieved this milestone in just seven days, potentially beating the 10-day record set by its predecessor, Mugen Train. This phenomenal success solidifies Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle's position as a record-breaking anime film in Japan.

Infinity Castle has already surpassed the initial momentum of several major anime films in Japan. The film is on track to join Japan's top-grossing animated features, potentially challenging domestic records. Mugen Train still leads globally with over $507 million, followed by films like Your Name, Spirited Away and Suzume. Infinity Castle is projected to reach ¥13 billion by the end of its second weekend, further solidifying its position as a record-breaking anime film in Japan.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle will hit the theatres in India on September 12, 2025. After a successful debut in Japan, Indian fans can now look forward to experiencing the epic finale of the Demon Slayer anime series. The movie will be available in multiple languages, including Japanese with English subtitles, Hindi, and English dubbed versions, and will be screened in IMAX and premium large formats.
