Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Box Office Day 5: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle continues its strong box office run in India, proving that Japanese anime has built a massive fan base in the country. The dark fantasy action film, directed by Haruo Sotozaki, collected around Rs 4 crore on Tuesday, slightly higher than its Monday collection of Rs 3.9 crore. After five days, the film’s total stands at Rs 47.70 crore nett in India. This brings the five-day total to an impressive Rs 47.70 crore. The collections underline the rising popularity of anime in India, showing that audiences are ready to embrace new cultures, stories, and experimental cinema when delivered with strong storytelling and entertainment.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Box Office Journey So Far
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, here is the day-wise collection of the film in India:
Friday: Rs 12.85 crore
Saturday: Rs 13.10 crore
Sunday: Rs 13.85 crore
Monday: Rs 3.90 crore
Tuesday: Rs 4 crore
Meanwhile, the success of Infinity Castle is historic—it is now the highest-grossing non-Hollywood foreign film ever released in India. It has also surpassed the collections of earlier anime blockbusters like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Suzume within just three days of release. The Hindi version of the film has brought in Rs 9.5 crore so far, while the English release has earned Rs 8.65 crore. The film’s occupancy rates remain steady across multiple languages. The Japanese version recorded nearly 29% occupancy in evening and night shows, while the Hindi and English versions also showed strong evening turnout.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Worldwide Box Office Performance
The film’s global success is equally impressive. It has already become the highest-grossing Japanese film ever in local currency, surpassing the record of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which earned 54.5 billion yen. Infinity Castle has grossed over 69 billion yen worldwide. In international markets, North America has emerged as the biggest contributor with $70 million, followed by South Korea with $34.7 million and Taiwan with $24.5 million. The film is now on track to become the highest-grossing Japanese release in the United States by next weekend.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is based on the popular Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Produced by Ufotable, it is the first part of a three-film finale to the beloved anime series. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after demons kill his family and turn his sister Nezuko into a demon. In this film, Tanjiro, along with the Hashira warriors, faces some of the strongest demons in the Infinity Castle. One of the key highlights is the intense battle between Tanjiro, Giyu, and the powerful demon Akaza. Released in India on 12 September, nearly two months after its Japan premiere, the film has already become Japan’s biggest film of 2025 and ranks as the fourth-highest-grossing Japanese film worldwide.
