Dhanashree Verma has been in the headlines after her divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She is currently a part of the reality show Rise And Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover, streaming on Amazon MX Player. The show also features Arjun Bijlani, Anaya Bangar, Aarush Bhola, Akriti Negi and others. Her personal life has been a topic of discussion inside the show itself. Recently, she broke down after Aahana Kumra made remarks about her in the basement that deeply hurt her.

In the recent episode, while making a pitch to be saved in the game, Akriti revealed that Aahana has made several allegations against Dhanashree’s character, accusing her of seemingly clinging to men.

After learning about this, Dhanashree was seen breaking into tears and was heard saying, "I am actually coming from a space of disappointment. When Aahana was in the penthouse, I found out that she said something about me, and I felt bad about it. I cried a lot that day. Despite that, when Aahana was cornered, Arbaz and I stood by her. I had very clearly told her that there are some reasons why people don’t talk to her. I even told her I was deeply hurt by her words, but now I don’t know what she is talking about me in the basement. I have felt bad. I have never said anything against anyone on the show, yet I never dragged my personal life on the show. I am told I am getting influenced, but that’s not true. I don’t like this environment. I have seen life, and I know I cannot trust Aahana anymore."

Fighting her tears, she added, “I feel unsafe to talk to anybody now. People are crossing their limits."

What Did Aahana Say About Dhanashree?

Earlier, Aahana had slammed Dhanashree's behaviour on the show and accused her of using the victim card. She said, “Yeh baar baar 2-2 minute mein Dhanashree kyun aapne divorce ke baat karti rehti hai. She needs to stop. We are applauding her, but this, ‘I am divorced, and all of this is happening with me,’ come on, stop the sob story. You are here to play the game; don’t play the victim card."

In the show, Dhanashree also addressed the cheating rumours surrounding her after her divorce. In a conversation with co-contestant Arbaz Patel, she shared, “Woh toh failayenge na, faltu baat. Unko darr hai na ke main munh na khol do toh dabayenge na. Main bata doongi na ek-ek baat, aapko yeh show peanuts lagega."

She added, "Ye sab jo divorce ki baatein chal rahi hain, vo bilkul hi banai gayi cheezein hain. Maine usko already peeche chhod diya hai."

Dhanashree married Yuzvendra Chahal in December 2020 after meeting during the COVID-19 lockdown. However, things didn't work out between them. They filed for divorce by mutual consent in February 2025 and were officially granted a divorce in March.
