Dhanush is currently basking in the success of Tere Ishk Mein, which also stars Kriti Sanon in lead role. Directed by Anand L. Rai, Tere Ishk Mein has been raking in good numbers at the box office. The actor is currently on a promotional spree. A video of the actor from an event surfaced online claiming he had hired someone solely to adjust his outfit. Fans quickly defended him and clarified the situation.

The video shows Dhanush stepping out of a car at a promotional event, standing still as a woman hurriedly moves behind him to adjust his pants. She continues fixing his shirt as well, while the actor appears not to acknowledge her presence.

Reacting to the video, a fan wrote, "That is his designer and she is doing her job which she agreed to. As a designer she felt that her costume should be perfect for him." One fan wrote, “Kavya is her designer and willingly doing her work. He treats his team members like a friend (they're having lunch together too in the video below) that's why there's no inhibition between them. But few fools will not understand this basic things." Another fan wrote, "It's her profession and she's being paid. Period," a fan also commented, "It's what they are paid for and its a profession and her profession," others also dropped similar reactions.

Tere Ishk Mein premiered in theatres on 28 November 2025 and was also showcased in the Gala Premiere section at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on the same day. The film received mixed reviews, with critics praising the performances of Dhanush and Kriti Sanon as well as the music, while criticizing the story, screenplay, and its portrayal of toxic masculinity.

Bolstered by strong buzz and positive word-of-mouth, the film crossed the Rs 50 crore mark during its opening weekend. On Tuesday (day 5), it outperformed Monday’s collection, earning Rs 10.25 crore, according to Sacnilk, bringing the total net earnings to Rs 71 crore, according to Sacnilk.
