Actress Disha Patani has become the target of online trolling following the divorce announcement of Mouni Roy and businessman Suraj Nambiar. After the couple confirmed their separation through a joint statement, some of Mouni’s fans flooded Disha’s social media comments with criticism.
The backlash began after users noticed that Disha had allegedly unfollowed Suraj on Instagram around the same time divorce rumours surfaced online. This led to speculation on gossip pages and Reddit, with several users trying to link Disha to the couple’s personal matters despite no evidence supporting the claims.
Several trolls flooded Disha Patani’s comment section with accusations and sarcastic remarks, blaming her for Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar’s divorce. Some users even called her a 'homebreaker' while referencing the Instagram unfollow rumours.

However, the rumours remain completely unverified. Disha Patani and Mouni Roy have shared a close friendship for years, often vacationing together and appearing in each other’s social media posts, which led to memes and baseless online theories involving Disha.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar announce divorce
On Thursday, Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar confirmed their divorce via a joint Instagram post. The statement read, We note with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention into our personal lives by certain quarters of the media. We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably." "Attempts have been made to sensationalise our private lives by circulation of fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods, which do not reflect the reality of our relationship," she further added.
The statement further added "After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding. At this point, we are focused on navigating this phase thoughtfully and privately. We will endeavour to cherish our friendship in times to come. We sincerely appreciate your understanding, respect for our privacy, and the continued support extended to us during this time."
