Hollywood’s popular action-adventure franchise Jumanji is all set to return with its third instalment. The makers have officially revealed the film’s title along with its release date, creating excitement among fans worldwide. Featuring a star-studded lineup including Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Nick Jonas, the film paired its ensemble cast with an adventurous storyline to deliver an entertaining big-screen experience.
Jumanji 3 Official Title and Release Date
As per Variety India report, the announcement was made during Sony’s CinemaCon event held in Las Vegas on April 13, Monday, with the first glimpse and trailer. The third part of the Jumanji series has been officially titled Jumanji: Open World. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 25, 2026, on Christmas Day, making it a major holiday release.

The film will once again feature popular actors like Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. Nick Jonas is also set to return to Jefferson Seaplane McDonough and Karen Gillan will also reprise her important role. The actors were present at the event where the first glimpse and trailer of the film were showcased.

Jumanji is directed by Jake Kasdan. It is produced by Matt Tolmach, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Jake Kasdan. The story was written by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg, who have previously worked on earlier films of the franchise.

About The Jumanji Franchise
The Jumanji series began with the first part, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), where four teenagers get trapped inside a video game. It was followed by Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), which showed the group returning to the game with unexpected twists. Now the third part Jumanji: Open World is set to be released on December 25, 2026.
Originally, the story comes from a 1981 children’s book written by Chris Van Allsburg. The first film adaptation, Jumanji starring Robin Williams, laid the foundation of this globally loved franchise.
