Euphoria Season 3 Ending Explained

Euphoria season 3 episode 8 picked up after Nate's death. Cassie and Maddy were mourning his death. The two were living together in the house Cassie once shared with him. They decided to turn the property into a content creation space and invite Lexi to direct the project, but she refused.

When Lexi asked about Nate, Cassie avoided the subject and said she didn't like thinking about it. Lexi still doesn’t know the truth about how he died. Maddy, meanwhile, started working at Alamo's strip club to repay a debt she took on while trying to help Nate. Following Alamo’s death, it appeared she was finally free from that burden.

Meanwhile, Faye (Chloe Cherry) woke Wayne (Toby Wallace) after catching Rue (Zendaya) stealing money from his safe. Wayne reached for his gun, but Rue grabbed a wrench and struck him in the leg. As she tried to escape, Rue punched Faye and knocked her out. Wayne chased her with a rifle, but Rue managed to get away. However, her escape didn't last long. A man named Harley, riding a horse, caught her with a lasso and dragged her down.

After the incident, Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) congratulated Rue for completing the job. He paid her and gave her pills, saying they were meant to help with the pain while she recovered. Rue was hesitant but accepted them. She later got her injured hand stitched at a hospital before heading to Ali's house to recover.

Meanwhile, Wayne realised that Laurie (Martha Kelly) had been set up by Alamo. He fled with Faye before the authorities arrived. Soon after, the DEA raided Laurie's operation and arrested several people connected to the drug business, including Kitty, Mitch and Big Eddy. Laurie climbed onto the roof and took her own life to escape prison.
