Tension erupted on the sets of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 in Prayagraj’s Civil Lines area on Wednesday. A video surfaced showing a group of local youths allegedly assaulting a crew member, identified as production head Zoheb Solapurwala. Another clip appeared to capture Ayushmann and Sara engaged in a heated exchange. Now, the line producer has filed an FIR against Meraj Ali, who recorded and posted the video, and others who are yet to be identified.

Line producer Saurabh Tiwari, who filed the complaint, said, "The team from Mumbai was shooting on the Civil Lines when someone tried to capture the film on camera. The crew member objected to it and shouted at the person. Two-three people pounced on him and slapped the team member."

According to The HT, DCP (City) Abhishek Bharti said, "A police team has been given to the shooting team for security. There was a police team on Thursday to regulate traffic, but some boys made videos with their mobiles resulting in the altercation." The FIR has been filed under Section 191 (2)115 (2) 352 351 (2) 351(3) and Section 66 of IT act 2008.

The 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh is now set for a sequel, but this time with a fresh twist in casting. Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly replaced Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, while Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi will play his two love interests. According to reports by Peeping Moon, the makers were keen on introducing new on-screen pairings with proven comic timing, and they found the dynamic between Ayushmann, Wamiqa, and Sara to be a perfect fit for the sequel's light-hearted yet romantic narrative.

The sequel is reportedly being directed by Mudassar Aziz, who has previously helmed Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Khel Khel Mein. However, Aziz has not yet commented on his involvement in the alleged violent incident that recently brought attention to the film's production.
