Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 Box Office Day 1: The romantic comedy Ginny Wedss Sunny 2, starring Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr, has faced a very difficult opening day at the box office. Released on Friday, April 24, 2026, the film opened with modest numbers.
According to trade analyst reports from Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh net on its first day. The theatre occupancy remained moderate, starting at 3.7% for morning shows and barely reaching 5% to 8% by the evening. Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 has received mixed reviews from the sudienc.

Written and directed by Prasshant Jha, Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2020 film which starred Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam. While the original was released directly on Netflix during the pandemic, the makers chose a theatrical route for the second instalment. The film also features veteran actors Sudhir Pandey, Lillete Dubey, and Govind Namdev in supporting roles.
