The Chase Teaser OUT: Fans of cinema and cricket got an unexpected treat this Sunday morning when R Madhavan shared the teaser of his upcoming project The Chase, directed by Vasan Bala. What took everyone by surprise was the presence of cricketing legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who appeared alongside Madhavan as a task force officer. Directed by Vasan Bala, known for films like Jigra starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, The Chase promises to deliver high-octane action and style. The teaser itself showed Madhavan and Dhoni in black outfits and sunglasses, holding guns, setting the stage for an action-packed ride. With The Chase, fans are now eager to see if Dhoni can replicate his on-field charisma on screen.
On 7th September, Madhavan posted the clip on Instagram and described it as the teaser for The Chase. Interestingly, he did not clarify whether the project is a film, a series, or something else, leaving fans guessing. However, what is certain is that the teaser has already set the internet buzzing. In the teaser, both Madhavan and Dhoni are seen dressed as task force officers in uniforms, preparing for a mission. The actor captioned the post, "One mission. Two fighters. Buckle up - a wild, explosive chase begins. The Chase - teaser out now. Directed by Vasan Bala. Coming soon." Meanwhile, the short clip quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media platforms to express their excitement. Many users pointed out that this could be Dhoni’s first full-fledged acting debut. While Dhoni has appeared in commercials and even made a cameo in the Tamil movie GOAT, his role in The Chase feels much larger in scale.

R Madhavan’s Work Front
For R Madhavan, this project adds to an already busy line-up. The actor was recently seen in Netflix’s Aap Jaisa Koi with Fatima Sana Shaikh, where he played a Sanskrit teacher navigating love, gender dynamics, and his own biases. He is also preparing for the release of Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame, which features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt.

Ms Dhoni’s Work Front
As for Dhoni, this teaser arrives shortly after he was honoured with induction into the ICC Hall of Fame in June this year. He became the 11th Indian cricketer to be given the prestigious recognition. From leading India to its first T20 World Cup win in 2007, to clinching the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy, Dhoni remains the only captain in cricket history to lift all three ICC white-ball trophies. Beyond his captaincy, Dhoni also cemented himself as one of cricket’s finest finishers. His iconic 183* against Sri Lanka in 2005 is still the highest ODI score by a wicketkeeper. With over 10,000 runs in ODIs at an average above 50, his batting legacy is as celebrated as his leadership.
