Palaash Muchhal-Smriti Mandhana Wedding Controversy: Choreographer Nandika Dwivedi has firmly denied accusations that she was involved in the personal issues between music composer Palaash Muchhal and Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Their wedding was recently put on hold after Smriti’s father was admitted to hospital due to serious health concerns. However, soon after the postponement, rumours began circulating online claiming that Palaash had allegedly cheated on Smriti with one of the choreographers working on their wedding functions. Nandika and another choreographer, Gulnaaz, were among the names mentioned in speculation.
On Friday, Nandika shared a long statement on Instagram, clarifying that she had no involvement whatsoever in the couple’s relationship. She wrote that it has been disturbing to watch people create stories about her, despite her having no connection to the situation. Calling the rumours “NOT true,” she said it was extremely painful to see a false narrative being built around her name. Nandika criticised sections of the media for publishing reports based on unverified social media gossip, including posts from Reddit. She added that such claims were damaging not only to her reputation but also to the people close to her. The choreographer said the ongoing situation was taking a toll on her mental health.

Meanwhile, she also revealed that she had been receiving threats online, which prompted her to make her Instagram account private. “I request everyone to stop spreading rumours. I have worked very hard to reach where I am today. Please do not drag my name further. Eventually, the truth will come out,” she wrote, urging people to understand how the false accusations were affecting her life and career. Gulnaaz, the other choreographer mentioned in the rumours, also released a statement denying any involvement in the couple’s issues.

Smriti Mandhana-Palaash Muchhal Wedding Postponed
The wedding was paused after Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was rushed to a hospital in Sangli with heart-attack-like symptoms. A day later, Palaash himself was admitted to hospital. According to Palash’s mother, he is extremely close to Smriti’s father, and the couple decided not to continue with the ceremonies until he recovered. Following the incident, Smriti removed all her pre-wedding posts from Instagram. Palaash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, also dismissed the cheating allegations, saying Palash is going through a difficult time and should not be judged based on unverified claims.
