Actor Kajal Aggarwal recently found herself at the centre of a death hoax circulating on the internet. The false reports claimed that she had passed away in a road accident after sustaining major injuries. Amid these rumours, the actress broke her silence by posting an official statement on social media. She clarified that she is perfectly fine, safe, and doing very well. Kajal also opened up about how the false news disturbed her family, who received incessant calls from friends and relatives.
Kajal Aggarwal On Impact Of Death Hoax On Family
Kajol shared how sad she felt after seeing her family disturbed because of the death rumours. The actress, in an interview with HT, said, “While I found the baseless news amusing, it was quite sad to see how disturbed my family felt. They kept receiving incessant calls, as did my staff. Life events, such as birth and death, are serious matters that one should never trivialise or spread falsehoods about. I truly hope we can all be more mindful and focus on truth, kindness, and positivity."
On Monday, Kajal took to her Instagram story and put a full stop to all the rumours with a statement. Her post read, "I’ve come across some baseless news claiming I was in an accident (and no longer around!) and honestly, it’s quite amusing because it’s absolutely untrue."
She also urged everyone not to believe the news that circulates online. Kajal added, "By the grace of god, I want to assure you all that I am perfectly fine, safe, and doing very well. I kindly request you not to believe or circulate such false news. Let’s focus our energies on positivity and truth instead."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajal is receiving praise for her performance in Vishnu Manchu’s mythological drama Kannappa. The film was released on June 27 and also starred Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal and others. Now, she is excited to be part of the highly anticipated movie Ramayana. She will reportedly be playing the role of Mandodari, the wife of Ravana (portrayed by Yash) in Nitesh Tiwari directorial.
She will also be sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan in Indian 3. The upcoming film is being helmed by director Shankar.
