Actor Karanvir Sharma is gearing up for Trial Season 2, co-starring Kajol in lead role. In an exclusive conversation with The Daily Jagran, Karanvir opened up on working opposite Kajol, calling it 'fabulous'. Though it initially took him some time to loosen up and be himself around her because of her aura as a superstar. He shared that, despite her stature, Kajol didn’t carry any starry tantrums or airs about herself. Instead, she came across as down-to-earth, a people’s person who worked well with the team, often joking, laughing and smiling on set. According to him, he had never seen her turn overly serious or display any rude behavior, which made the working atmosphere comfortable.

Karanvir Sharma calls Kajol 'Fabulous'

Talking about working with Kajol, Karanvir said, "Fabulous. I mean, it took me time to loosen up and be myself in front of her. Because she has this whole aura about herself and she is a superstar. But mujhe lagta hai ke she doesn't have any starry tantrums. She doesn't have an air about herself. She is very down to earth, a people's person. Works with the team, hasi mazaak karte rehti hain. Hasti rehti hain, muskurate rehti hain. She is like a smiling face. I have never really seen her get very serious. Ke battameez hi kar rahe hain, aisa kuch nahi hain. So, that became very good."

"We started talking before the scene. Between the set-up hota hai, toh bahot time hota hai. Aap ek dusre se baat karte hain, ek dusre ko jaanne ke kushish karte hain. So, that was very sweet. She made the initiative and I think that broke the ice. Because unfortunately, we didn't get to rehearse much for the scene. Sirf set time me rehearsal ho rahi thi hain humaari. Toh ke itna hectic tha schedule. So, she's been an absolute pleasure to work with," said Karanvir.

About Trial Season 2: The Indian remake of the hit American legal drama The Good Wife, titled The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha, is all set to return with its second season. The first season, which premiered on July 14, 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar, received widespread appreciation for Kajol's powerful performance as Noyonika Sengupta, a housewife turned lawyer. Noyonika's journey begins when her husband, Rajeev Sengupta, is imprisoned over a corruption and sex scandal, forcing her to re-enter the workforce to support her family.

After a successful first season, The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha is back with more drama, thrill and courtroom battles. The second season promises to be even more gripping, with Noyonika facing new challenges in her personal and professional life. The show's Indian adaptation stays true to the original's spirit, with sharp storytelling and complex characters that keep viewers engaged. Interestingly, "The Good Wife" has also inspired other global remakes, including a Tamil adaptation starring Priyamani, which premiered in July 2025.
