Kalamkaval Box Office Collection Day 4: Mammootty And Vinayakan's Malayalam Movie Eyes Rs 50 Crore Mark After First Weekend

Kalamkaval Box Office Collection: Malayalam movie Kalamkaval is now running in theatres. The movie stars Mammootty and Vinayakan in lead roles. The film hit the theatres on December 5, 2025 and it received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Kalamkaval also stars Gibin Gopinath, Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan and Shruti Ramachandran in supporting roles. Directed by debutant Jithin K. Jose, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jishnu Sreekumar, the film is produced by Mammootty Kampany.

According to Sacnilk, Kalamkaval has collected around Rs 2.90 crore India net on Monday (Day 4), pushing the total domestic earnings to Rs 19.40 crore. The movie raked in Rs 5 crore on Friday and Rs 5.5 crore on Saturday, while on Sunday, it earned Rs 6 crore.

Kalamkaval is mounted on a reported budget of 29 crore and the film has managed to recover only 56.8 per cent of the budget.

What is the story of Kalamkaval?

Kalamkaval is based on officer Jayakrishnan who is tasked with a challenging assignment: unraveling the true cause behind a violent communal flare-up in the state's southern region. As he delves into the investigation, he discovers a surprising and somewhat disheartening origin—the riot stemmed from a misunderstanding surrounding a young girl's decision to elope with someone, a spark that ignited deeper, more complex tensions.
