Kapil Sharma is one of India's most loved and adored comedians. His shows are a staple in almost every household. Avid viewers used to wait for his show, The Kapil Sharma Show, every weekend. His jokes were hilarious and the show was a great stress-buster. But over the years, the pattern and format of the show changed as it is now exclusively available on Netflix, and many of his fans who used to watch the show with their family miss the family moment it created.

Recently, one of Kapil Sharma's fans took to X to make a complaint on the same and said, "When The Kapil Sharma Show used to come on TV, every family had a fixed plan for Saturday and Sunday, and everyone could watch the show together. But ever since The Kapil Sharma Show started coming on OTT, we are no longer able to watch it together."

Kapil Sharma replied to the complaint and wrote, "But now I think you can watch according to your schedule."

His comment on X ignited a conversation, as many fans opposed what he said. One of the users wrote, "I absolutely second that. My mom has been a long time fan of the show but she hasn’t watched an episode ever since it moved to OTT. One of the main reasons is that she is not comfortable operating OTT on TV. Earlier it was just easier to switch to a channel at a specific time!"

Another added, "Since OTT this show has lost its charm.....weak writing....bad punches....TV episodes were cult and superb." "Netflix snatched Kapil Sharma from his actual audience. My mother was one of them," said another user.

Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Career

Kapil Sharma started his career in comedy as a contestant in the show Comedy Circus and became the show's winner multiple times. His big breakthrough came in 2013 when he posted his iconic show, Comedy Nights With Kapil. The show became a hit on Indian television and a must-watch in every Indian household. It was discontinued due to financial issues in 2016, but due to high fan demand, the show made a comeback with a reboot version as The Kapil Sharma Show and it was a cult favourite till its very final season in 2023.

Kapil Sharma currently hosts The Great Indian Kapil Show, a Netflix original series that was released in March 2024.
