Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's viral photos from Ibiza rocked Bollywood in 2013. The images that once set gossip mills buzzing showed Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor relaxing on a beach, with Katrina seen in a bikini and Ranbir in swim shorts. For years, the photos were believed to be paparazzi shots, but a recent revelation has shed new light on the story. Celebrity photographer Manav Manglani recently disclosed the truth.
In Kunickaa Sadanand's podcast, he claimed that the controversial beach pictures of Katrina and Ranbir were not random paparazzi captures but were, in fact, leaked to the media by someone from within the actors’ close circles. However, he admitted that he chooses not to comply, reasoning that once such content exists, it is bound to surface eventually. “You need to be a little manipulative in such situations,” Manglani remarked.
The paparazzi stated that he captured Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur's photos when they were dating. "Aaj nahi toh kal niklega hi niklega, ghar pe thodi affair karne waala hai (The photos will come out sooner or later, it’s not like they’re going to lock themselves in their house). It’s not a one-night fling, is it? But these are the pictures that go viral the most… The last leak was Ranbir and Katrina on that beach. That was a long time ago," he said.
Kunickaa, taken aback by the revelation, asked in surprise, "That was a leak?" To this, Manav confirmed, "Yes, it was leaked by someone very close to them." However, he clarified that he had no knowledge of the exact individual responsible for leaking the photos. He further added that incidents of this nature have not occurred since then.
Katrina Kaif had penned an open letter expressing her disappointment over the incident, acknowledging that while she understood the public’s curiosity about celebrities, private moments deserved to be respected. Ranbir Kapoor too voiced his discontent, describing the episode as “a breach of trust” and urging the media to maintain a clear boundary between public appearances and personal space.
