Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Marking Kapil Sharma’s return to the big screen, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 finally released in cinemas on December 12. The film, which is a sequel to the 2015 hit Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, arrived with high expectations from fans. However, its opening-day box office performance suggests that the comedy sequel has struggled to make a strong impact at the ticket window.
According to early box office reports, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to earn approximately Rs 1.75 crore net on Day 1, as per estimates by Sacnilk. The overall Hindi occupancy for the day stood at 16.45%, indicating a relatively slow start. The morning shows recorded 5.91% occupancy, afternoon shows saw 13.90%, evening shows improved slightly to 17.21%, while night shows performed the best with 28.77% occupancy. Trade experts suggest that the film’s weak opening can largely be attributed to the strong box office opening of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest Telugu release Akhanda 2. The intense drama has been dominating screens across the country, leaving limited room for Kapil Sharma’s light-hearted entertainer to grow.
Despite the slow start, there is still some hope for improvement. With the weekend ahead, the makers are expecting a slight rise in collections. Another challenge for the film is the mixed audience response. While some viewers enjoyed the situational comedy, others felt the sequel lacked the freshness and charm of the original. As trade analysts point out, had the film opened with overwhelmingly positive word-of-mouth, it could have sustained better in the long run. Looking ahead, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 will face further competition with the upcoming release of Avatar: Fire And Ash, which is expected to dominate box office numbers from next week.
