Kriti Sanon mentioned that she had already had the process to freeze her eggs when the subject of women's biological clocks came up. The actress, who has starred in films like Mimi, Crew, and Bareilly Ki Barfi, clarified that she purposefully scheduled it for a particular stage of her career.

Kriti Sanon Reveals Freezing Her Eggs

Kriti Sanon was asked if she has any worries about the biological clock during a recent conversation with Humans of Bombay. The 35-year-old actress revealed that she froze her eggs before filming Mimi (2021). Kriti Sanon said, "You have one life. You have to get to live it the way you want to live it. It's your story to write. Nobody else can write it."

The actress shared, "Honestly, I froze my eggs. So there was a time when I was thinking about these questions, and I never wanted to be tied down to the fact that I need to get married now or I need to have kids now, and I am doing it because I have a timeline."

According to Kriti Sanon, it made perfect sense to schedule the egg-freezing procedure around a time when she already needed to gain weight for her role because it naturally induces 'intense bloating'.

Kriti Sanon remembered that the idea was initially presented to her by a close friend, who described it as 'the best thing that you can do for yourself'. She said, "When I was told to gain weight, I realised I had two months of no shoot, and all I am supposed to do is gain weight, and this is a film on surrogacy, so let me just do it because I felt everything."

'Like A Pregnant Woman...': Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon did not downplay the emotional and physical costs of the procedure. She compared the disruption to what a pregnant woman may experience, including severe hormone changes, mood swings, and bloating.

"There is a point when you feel hormonally disruptive and almost like a pregnant woman. Your mood swings are going off the charts, so I did it. And I am glad that I did it because I don't want to have a clock in my head."
