Nayanthara and Chiranjeevi are set to collaborate for the third time in their upcoming movie, tentatively titled Mega157. The shoot for the Telugu movie has reportedly commenced. Meanwhile, their previous joint ventures include significant projects like Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019) and Godfather (2022). Mega157 movie marks Chiranjeevi’s 157th feature film, promising a powerful blend of emotion, style, and mass appeal, uniting two of South Indian cinema’s most electrifying talents.

According to a report in Telugu123, the second shooting schedule is currently underway in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Chiranjeevi and other key cast members, including Nayanthara, have reached for the shoot. Crucial scenes featuring the lead pair, along with a song sequence, will be filmed in this leg. Earlier reports suggest that the Telugu movie will perfectly blend humour with emotion and action. The screenplay, carefully crafted by Ravipudi, aims to present Chiranjeevi in a new and dynamic role, combining laughter and emotional depth to connect with audiences of all ages. Interestingly, Chiranjeevi’s character in the film is named Shankar Varaprasad, which is his real name.

About Chiranjeevi And Nayanthara’s Movie

The Telugu movie is presented by Archana and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner in collaboration with Sushmita Konidela’s Gold Box Entertainments. The film, being created on a grand scale, features Sameer Reddy as cinematographer, Bheems Ceciroleo as music composer, and Tammiraju as editor. S Krishna and G Adi Narayana contributed to the script, with S Krishna also serving as executive producer. AS Prakash is the production designer. The filmmakers are reportedly planning to release the movie for Sankranthi next year.

Chiranjeevi’s Projects

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi did not have any movie releases in 2024, marking a hiatus in his illustrious career. However, the Mega Star remained active behind the scenes, preparing for significant projects slated for 2025 and beyond. Apart from the tentatively titled movie Mega 157, Chiranjeevi will also be seen in the socio-fantasy action movie Vishwambhara. Initially slated for a Sankranthi 2025 release, the film’s premiere has been delayed with no new official date announced yet.
