Former Kpop idol and NCT member Moon Taeil has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison over charges related to sexual assault. According to reports from K media, the 26th Criminal District Court delivered its verdict on July 10 during the first trial. The court's decision included not only a prison sentence but also several specific conditions imposed on the former idol and two other individuals involved in the case.

Taeil was arrested on charges including sexual assault. As part of the court's ruling, the former idol, along with two others involved, has been mandated to complete a 40-hour rehabilitation program focused on addressing sexual violence. Furthermore, they are required to publicly disclose their personal details and will be subject to a five-year prohibition from working in any institutions that cater to children or teenagers. Notably, Taeil was not taken into custody during the investigation phase; however, he was promptly arrested following the court's decision.

In June 2024, former NCT member Moon Taeil, along with two accomplices, was involved in the sexual assault of an intoxicated Chinese tourist they encountered at a bar.
