‘Not Dost-Dost’ Says Rakul Preet Singh On Her Bond With De De Pyar De 2 Co-star Ajay Devgn

De De Pyar De actor Rakul Preet Singh said she and her co-star Ajay Devgn share a respectful bond but are not really close friends. The actors previously worked together in De De Pyar De, and are now back with the sequel of the film. She explained why she can't be 'dost-dost' with Ajay despite knowing each other for a long time.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Rakul Preet Singh said, "Not dost-dost. I think the bond is very like respect. For me, he's still Ajay Devgn, right? You know, he is such a senior actor and an amazing person." The actress further added that she treats him with respect and added, "For me, it will always be that 'sir' thing."

Despite being in the industry for a decent time, Rakul revealed the reason why she can't be friends with the 'Drishyam' actor. She added, "Jo aapke age group ke hote hain ya younger actors, woh friends ban jaate hain. But with Ajay sir, I still have that 'sir', and I'm not one who can call myself a newcomer, yet I'm still way less experienced person.”

Rakul Preet Singh and Ajay Devgn are two significant names in the Hindi film industry. The actors have shared screen space many times. The duo first worked together in De De Pyar De in 2019, where they appeared as each other’s love interests in the lead role. In 2022, they were featured together in the movie Runway 34. Ajay played the role of Captain Vikrant Khanna and Rakul’s character was co-pilot Tanya Albuquerque.

In De De Pyar De 2, which was released on November 14, Rakul and Ajay are again seen in lead roles. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 3.35 crore on Day 7. The net collection of the film stands at Rs 51.10 crore.
