DQ41: Pooja Hegde is making her return to Telugu cinema after almost three years, and fans could not be more excited. The actress, who has worked in both Bollywood and South Indian films, has officially joined the cast of DQ41, where she will be seen opposite popular star Dulquer Salmaan. This will be the first time Pooja Hegde and Dulquer Salmaan are coming together on-screen. Dulquer, who has worked across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema, enjoys a strong fan base, and the idea of pairing him with Pooja is already being called “magical” by the producers. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their chemistry unfold in the film.

The makers of the film, SLV Cinemas, announced the news on Wednesday through a social media post. Sharing their excitement, they wrote, “Welcoming the enchanting @hegdepooja on board for #DQ41. DQ and Pooja's chemistry will be magical on the big screens. Stay tuned for more updates.” The film will be directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner. Music will be composed by GV Prakash, while Anay Om Goswamy will handle the cinematography.

Pooja Hegde’s Work Front

Pooja Hegde was last seen in Deva, opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, released in theatres on January 29 and is now streaming on Netflix. Despite her strong presence in films, the actress has faced several box office disappointments in recent years with movies like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Cirkus, and Radhe Shyam. Because of these setbacks, the announcement of DQ41 has come as a refreshing piece of news for her fans, especially since it marks her return to Tollywood after a gap. Going by the first look released by the makers, Pooja appears to be playing a simple, girl-next-door character, which has already generated curiosity.

What’s Next For Pooja?

Apart from DQ41, Pooja has a packed lineup of projects. She is set to star alongside Varun Dhawan in David Dhawan’s next Bollywood film, tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. This film promises to be a fun entertainer and has already created a buzz among movie lovers. In the South, Pooja has also signed big-ticket films like Suriya 44 and Thalapathy 69, which are among the most anticipated projects in Kollywood. If Jana Nayagan, another upcoming release in January 2026, turns out to be a success, it could give her career a significant boost.
