SS Rajamouli, one of the most celebrated filmmakers is gearing up to take his highly anticipated film Varanasi to a global stage. Featuring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film will be showcased at CCXP (Comic-con experience) Mexico 2026 on April 24. The team is set to unveil exclusive content, marking its first international presentation and generating worldwide buzz.

First Global Showcase Exclusive Content For Fans

The makers have confirmed that Varanasi will make its international debut on April 24 at the Thunder Stage during CCXP Mexico. A special panel has been planned to introduce the film to global audiences.

The Varanasi team posted on X and wrote, “Hola Mexico…#VARANASI makes its first global appearance at #CCXPMX26 with an exclusive panel on April 24 at the Thunder Stage. We will be showcasing our “Varanasi to the World” glimpse on the big stage. This move highlighted the makers’ effort to create early global buzz.

Rajamouli Will Address Through Live Session

Although Rajamouli will not be physically present, he will connect with fans through a recorded video message. The session will also include a live interaction, giving audiences deeper insights into the film’s scale, vision, and production journey.

The same post read, “ An exclusive video message from @ssrajamouli and never seen before BTS moments crafted especially for everyone present there ❤️ Followed by a live Interaction with the audience.”

Varanasi Star Cast And Release Plan

The film features Mahesh Babu in the lead, along with Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. Varanasi is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 7, 2027, and is being designed for an IMAX viewing experience.

Varanasi Movie Story, Massive Budget and Production

Backed by producer KL Narayana under Sri Durga Arts, the film is reportedly being made on a huge budget of around Rs 1,200 crore. Music is composed by M. M. Keeravani, adding to the film’s grand scale. Some reports suggested that the story follows a devotee of Lord Shiva on a time-travel journey to find a powerful cosmic object. Large sets inspired by Varanasi’s ghats and temples have been created, reflecting detailed craftsmanship.
