This year’s celebration was particularly emotional, as it marked the first public appearance of his father, the veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, following a serious health scare.
Crowds gathered in massive numbers outside Galaxy Apartments to catch a glimpse of the Khan family. Salim Khan, who was recently discharged from the hospital after being treated for a brain haemorrhage, appeared on the balcony to wave at the cheering supporters. His presence served as a huge relief to fans who had been closely following updates on his recovery. Salman Khan joined his father, alongside brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, sisters Alvira and Arpita, and their mother Sushila Charak (Salma Khan). The actor was seen sharing tender moments with his niece and nephew, the children of Arpita Khan Sharma, adding a personal touch to the public appearance.

While the atmosphere was celebratory, security remained a top priority. Following a previous security incident involving gunfire outside his home, Salman greeted the sea of fans from behind bulletproof glass installed on his balcony. Despite the barrier, the Tiger star ensured his fans felt the love, blowing kisses and waving enthusiastically. Salman Khan later took to Instagram to share a video of the moment, captioning it, "Eid Mubarak, Thank you very much for your blessings, Dad is back home thank you."

Beyond the festivities, Salman Khan is gearing up for a major cinematic release. His next film, recently retitled Matrubhumi (formerly Battle of Galwan), is one of the most talked-about projects of the year. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is a gritty retelling of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. Although originally slated for April 17, industry insiders suggest the film might move to an August 15 release. If this happens, it will set up a massive box-office clash with Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947. The film also stars Chitrangada Singh in a pivotal role, marking an exciting new chapter in Salman’s action-packed career.
