Salman Khan’s pillar of strength, his personal human armour and bodyguard - Shera, recently made his acting debut for a Raksha Bandhan advertisement. The popular bodyguard first made a brief appearance in Salman Khan’s movie ‘Bodyguard’ for its title track, and now, after 14 years, he has made a solid debut in the acting world with his solo part in an advertisement. His appearance for a grocery delivery app’s Raksha Bandhan campaign left netizens quite impressed.
Instamart’s new ad showed Shera as a ‘bhai’ (brother) of all the women who faced problems in daily life. The video showed him helping a lady get an autorickshaw in the rain. He also protected a schoolgirl from her troublesome classmate. Then helped a woman get her ice cream from the Turkish parlour and so on. This way, all the women tied ‘rakhi’ on his wrist and made him their brother. This ad’s focus was to tell the audience to do their duty and send a rakhi to their bhais.

The advertisement was released on Friday, leaving everyone impressed, as the video circulated on several marketing pages and fan clubs on social media. Some netizens quickly reacted to the video and compared Shera’s looks to the Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and singers Mika and Badshah. Others noticed how the ad smartly used the word ‘bhai’ for Shera, which is generally used for his employer Salman Khan.
