Bollywood actress Shruti Haasan is widely known for her versatility and ability to take on a variety of roles. With a career spanning over ten years, she has worked across different genres and industries. However, her journey hasn’t been smooth. In a recent interview the Luck actress opened up about her struggles and spoke candidly about her debut in film industry.

Shruti Hassan, according to a report in Filmfare, revealed that her first movie was a major letdown and almost ended her acting career before it began. “I had a smashing disaster for a debut, and I was waiting after that,” she said. The Ramaiya Vastavaiya actress further shared that she hadn’t planned to stick around in the film industry. “I will collect enough money and move out and go back to Rock and Roll Baby,” she said, referring to her passion for music.

However, Shruti’s life had other plans. A close friend, Krishnan, played a key role in changing her perspective. He told her honestly, “Macha that was terrible, you were terrible in it. Either you do it properly or you don’t do it.” His blunt feedback made Shruti reflect deeply. She realised she had wasted an opportunity and decided to take acting seriously.

Over time, Shruti found a genuine love for the craft. She compared it to an unexpected romance, and stated, “True love happens as you’re walking by.” Since then, through dedication and effort, she has worked hard to grow as an actress. Despite the rough start, she has appeared in a variety of blockbuster hits including Ramaiya Vastavaiya, D-Day, Gabbar Is Back, and Devi.

Shruti Hassan’s Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Shruti has an exciting line-up of projects. She will be seen in three Tamil films which includes Coolie opposite Rajinikanth, Train alongside Vijay Sethupathi, and Jana Nayagan with Vijay as well as the Telugu action sequel Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam opposite Prabhas.
