Sonakshi Sinha is currently gearing up for her upcoming Telugu film Jatadhara, alongside Sudheer Babu. The movie also features Divya Khossla, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, and Rajeev Kanakala, among others. Sonakshi Sinha and her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal, recently visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The couple shared several beautiful pictures from their trip on Instagram. While most fans praised the photos and the couple’s elegance, one social media user criticised Sonakshi, accusing her of entering the mosque wearing shoes.
Sharing the serene photos, Sonakshi captioned her post, “Found a little sukoon, right here in Abu Dhabi!” However, a troll commented, “Jutton ke saat masjid mai jana bohot barra gunnah hai.” The actress didn’t ignore the remark and decided to clear the air. She replied, “That’s why we didn’t go inside wearing shoes. Please look carefully, we’re outside the mosque. Before entering, they showed us where to keep our shoes, and we took them off. Even we know that much. Now, let’s move on.” Sonakshi’s calm but firm response won praise from many fans, who appreciated how she handled the situation with grace.

Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot on June 23, 2024, in a private civil ceremony under the Special Marriage Act. The couple faced some online backlash after their wedding because of their interfaith marriage as Sonakshi is Hindu, while Zaheer is Muslim. Earlier this year, the Dabangg actress spoke openly about their relationship in an interview with Hauterrfly. She said religion was never a factor in their decision to get married. “We were not looking at religion. There are just two people in love who wanted to get married,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi added that both of them respect each other’s beliefs and traditions. “He doesn’t force his religion on me, and I don’t force mine on him. We never even discuss it like that. He joins me for my Diwali pooja, and I sit with his family during Niyaz. That’s what matters, mutual respect.” She further said that choosing to marry under the Special Marriage Act was the best decision for them. “It allows both of us to stay true to who we are while being together in love and respect,” she said.
