Bhim Vakani Death News: The Indian entertainment industry is mourning the loss of veteran actor and theatre legend Bhim Vakani, who passed away in Ahmedabad this morning. While the family has not yet released an official statement, the news has been confirmed by the producer of the long-running television show. 

The producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor during a conversation with Moneycontrol. He shared, "He wasn't unwell, but we got to know from his family in the morning that he's passed away. Bhim Vakani was a great painter, actor, and director - he even worked in Lagaan. His daughter Disha Vakani's success as Daya Ben... he played a big part in that. He contributed a lot to building Disha's career. We had a family-like bond; whenever he came to Mumbai, he'd come home, and we'd hang out. It feels like a part of my family has gone with him."

Who Was Disha Vakani's Father Bhim Vakani?

Bhim Vakani was a highly respected figure, specifically in Gujarati theatre. His also appeared in several iconic Bollywood films. He is most notably remembered for his roles in the Academy Award-nominated film Lagaan (2001) and Swades (2004), both starring Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan respectively. He also featured in the Madhuri Dixit starrer Lajja.

Interestingly, Bhim Vakani even made a special guest appearance on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, sharing the screen with his children.
