Prime Video wrote along the poster, "Scorched earth. Shock and awe. Blood and bone. All coming 2026, but first, a pit stop at @ccxpoficial this Saturday for appetizers."

The Boys is one of the most-popular web series on Prime Video. Season 4 started streaming online on June 13, 2024, with its first three episodes, with the remaining episodes rolling out weekly. The series has earned four wins out of twelve Primetime Emmy nominations—including Outstanding Drama Series in 2021—and has also secured seven Critics' Choice Super Awards and six Astra TV Awards. Critics have largely responded positively, praising its cinematography, visuals, soundtrack, performances and action sequences, while noting concerns about its graphic violence and thematic intensity.

The Boys takes place in a world where superpowered individuals, known as "Supes," are celebrated as heroes by the public and managed by Vought International, a dominant corporation that profits from their image. Behind their polished public personas, many of these Supes are corrupt, selfish and frequently responsible for destructive collateral damage. The story centers on two opposing factions: The Boys, a CIA-backed black-ops team determined to expose and dismantle Vought and its corrupt heroes, and The Seven, Vought’s elite superhero group and the Boys’ most formidable rivals.
