The Odyssey, the only significant release in Indian theatres last Friday, may face new competition at the box office as a result.

This Thursday, July 23, the much-awaited Tamil action movie Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth and starring Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, releases in theatres. The India Story, starring Shreyas Talpade and Kajal Aggarwal, will be released on July 24.

It remains to be seen if Christopher Nolan's most recent film can achieve this noteworthy milestone. Still, given that its primary rival, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, opens on July 31, the next two weeks should increase its dominance at the box office worldwide.
