They Call Him OG Box Office Collection Day 4: Pawan Kalyan’s latest Telugu movie They Call Him OG continues to perform strongly at the box office, showing only a slight drop in collections after its grand opening. The action crime drama, directed by Sujeeth, has kept a steady hold on audiences despite mixed reviews from critics. The movie opened with paid premieres on Wednesday, 24th September.

According to a report in Sacnilk, the Telugu movie brought in an impressive Rs 21 crore on its first day itself. On Thursday, the film saw an even bigger jump, collecting Rs 63.75 crore, almost entirely from its Telugu version. Friday witnessed the expected dip, with earnings of around Rs 8.75 crore. However, the film held firm on Saturday, adding another Rs 18.50 crore to its total. On Sunday, 28th September, early estimates showed that the movie had collected between Rs 13–16 crore by evening. The final numbers are expected to be around Rs 16.38 crore, taking the four-day domestic total to Rs 138.08 crore. This makes They Call Him OG one of the strongest openers in recent times for Telugu cinema.

Meanwhile, the Telugu version remains the major contributor to the film’s success, with an overall occupancy rate of 42.58% on Sunday. Morning shows started slower at 32.79%, but picked up in the afternoon with a strong 52.37%. The Tamil version, however, did not see the same level of enthusiasm, recording only 18.16% overall occupancy on Day 4. The Hindi version performed the weakest, with just 10.08% average occupancy, although it has managed to cross the Rs 1.4 crore mark in three days. Despite the uneven performance across languages, They Call Him OG movie  has maintained good footfall in theatres, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions.

About They Call Him OG Movie

They Call Him OG is produced by D. V. V. Danayya and stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. The story follows OG, a retired gangster who returns to Bombay in 1993 to face his old rival, crime-lord Omi Bhau. Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi makes his Telugu debut in the movie, playing the main antagonist. The cast also includes Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj in key roles. Interestingly, there are two slightly different versions of the film’s storyline circulating. In one version, OG is shown as a gangster returning to Bombay after years of disappearance. Another version presents him as Ojas Gambheera, a samurai who grows up in India and later becomes entangled in the underworld.

On the other hand, the film was released amid high expectations. While Pawan Kalyan’s previous release Hari Hara Veera Mallu struggled at the box office, fans were hopeful that OG would deliver, especially with Sujeeth at the helm, who previously directed Saaho.
