Tyla’s Mumbai Concert: Grammy-winning South African singer Tyla made a memorable impression on her first-ever visit to India, not only with her music but also with a striking saree-inspired look crafted specially for her. The outfit, designed and hand-stitched by 23-year-old fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi, blended traditional Indian aesthetics with Tyla’s bold, modern style. The singer shared photos and videos of the mint-green ensemble on Instagram, praising Nancy and calling her a ‘twin’ for understanding her taste so well.

Nancy Tyagi had earlier teased the collaboration by posting a video of Tyla reacting to the dress. She later shared a clip titled “POV: When you make a baddie wear a bindi”, where she lovingly places a bindi on Tyla’s forehead. Nancy explained that the design aimed to merge two visual languages: India’s rich craftsmanship and Tyla’s confident, contemporary personality, through detailed handwork, a structured drape, and fluid movement. Singer Tyla’s fashion moment quickly went viral, with fans, influencers, and celebrities praising Nancy’s talent and Tyla’s willingness to embrace Indian culture. Actor Jacqueline Fernandez commented with excitement, while fans called Nancy ‘too talented’ and applauded the cross-cultural moment.
