V Shantaram: Actress Tamannaah Bhatia is set to portray Jayashree, the second wife of legendary filmmaker V Shantaram, in the upcoming biographical drama based on his extraordinary life. The film, titled V Shantaram, stars Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead role and aims to capture the journey of one of Indian cinema’s greatest visionaries. On December 9, 2025, the makers released the first-look poster of Tamannaah Bhatia as Jayashree, creating immediate buzz across social media.
V Shantaram biopic makers took to Instagram to share the first look poster with the caption, “Jayashree - The star of an era. The strength behind a legacy. A chapter returning to history.” Known for her work in memorable films such as Dr Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani, Shakuntala, Chandra Rao More, and Dahej, Jayashree was not only an acclaimed actor but also an important presence in Shantaram’s personal and creative life. Tamannaah’s poster introduces her in a beautiful pink Nauvari saree, reflecting the elegance and charm of the vintage era.

On the other hand, the biopic also highlights key milestones from Shantaram’s real-life journey, including the founding of the Prabhat Film Company in 1929 and Rajkamal Kalamandir in 1942.
