Naga Vamsi, known for delivering films like Jersey, Bheeshma, Guntur Kaaram, Lucky Baskhar and the latest release Kingdom, is all set to come up with a new project based on Lord Hanuman. The upcoming 3D animation film is titled Vayuputra. The first look was unveiled on his social media, featuring an animated Lord Hanuman. The film will be directed by Thandel fame Chandoo Mondeti. The makers also revealed the release timeline of Vayuputra. Following the recent commercial success of animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, Vayaputra is poised to mark a significant milestone for Telugu cinema in the mythological world.

Naga Vamsi Announces Vayaputra

Taking to X handle, producer Naga Vamsi announced a new venture, Vayaputra, in collaboration with director Chandoo Mondeti. Sharing the animated poster, he shared details about the film, that read, "An immortal tale, reborn in a way the world has never witnessed. VAYUPUTRA ~ The Legend of Lord Hanuman, like never before. A story that we’ve been working on for the past couple of years. A brainchild of Chandoo Mondeti’s long-cherished vision, now taking shape as we begin production. A cinematic journey to inspire generations."

The film will hit cinemas cinemas in Dussehra 2026, in mutiple langauges including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Vayuputra will be produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya.

Talking about the latest release, Mavatar Narsimha hit the theatres on July 25. It had achieved a total worldwide gross collection of Rs 308.25 crore, with a net collection of Rs 238.12 crore in India.

The film has also earned Rs 26.10 crore from overseas markets, as per Sacnilk. The Kannada movie tells the story of two divine incarnations of Bhagwan Vishnu- Varaha and Narsimha. Varaha rescues Mother Earth from the demon Hiranyaksha, whose brother Hiranyakashipu seeks revenge. Despite his father's threats, Prahlad, Hiranyakashipu's son, remains devoted to Vishnu. Presented by Hombale Films and directed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Narsimha is backed by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai.
