Vicky Kaushal Praises Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar As It Soars At The Box Office, Says ‘Kudos To All The Dhurandhars Involved’

After Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar exploded at the box office, his peers and friends from Bollywood did not shy away from expressing their views on the movie’s strong and lasting impact. Joining the fan brigade, Vicky Kaushal, who once worked with Aditya Dhar in the movie Uri: The Surgical Strike, also penned down a heartwarming message appreciating the hard work everybody has put in.

Vicky Kaushal reshared the movie Dhurandhar’s poster and wrote, “@adityadharfilms you beauty! What a mammoth task it must be for you and your team to pull off this film with such conviction, finesse and first-rate world building...Hats off! Appreciating the cast of the movie, Vicky wrote, "Absolute PEAK PERFORMANCES! Technically Brilliant. Supremely engaging. Kudos to all the Dhurandhars involved.”

Dhurandhar X Uri: The Surgical Strike

Aditya Dhar directed film Uri: The Surgical Strike, starring Vicky Kaushal, was released in 2019. The movie was one of the major box office hits of the year. It was based on the 2016 surgical strike in Pakistan after they attacked a town named Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to fans' theory, it has been speculated that the movie Dhurandhar is linked to Uri: The Surgical Strike. The netizens wore their detective hats and started making various claims. Ranveer Singh played the role of an Indian agent, Hamza, who was picked by the Indian intelligence chief to invade and keep an eye on Rehman Dakait's gang in the Lyari region of Pakistan. The film ends up revealing Hamza's true identity as an officer named Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

People started thinking that Uri and Dhurandhar are connected because in Uri, Vicky Kaushal's character Vihaan meets with Flight Lieutenant Seerat Kaur (Kirti Kulhari), who identifies herself as the wife of a martyred Army officer, Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The similar names in both movies led people to cook up their own theories. Though the makers of the movie have not said anything about the claims, they are letting people ponder on the speculations.
