Indian Idol, the beloved singing reality show, is making its return with a new season. Music composer Vishal Dadlani confirmed his return to the judging panel for Indian Idol 16, alongside Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah. This comes after he bid goodbye to the reality show in April following the conclusion of season 15. He shared the reason behind his decision, stating that he wants to get back to making music, playing concerts, and that he cannot stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year. Now, it seems like he has changed his mind. He confirmed his comeback to the show with a behind-the-scenes video from the sets on social media.

Vishal Dadlani took to his Instagram handle and shared a video featuring co-judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah on the Indian Idol set. The clip shows the trio striking several poses for the cameras. Confirming his return, Vishal wrote, “Two posers (don’t miss @shreyaghoshal ‘s last Guplu-max pose) and itsyo-seedha-saada @badboyshah not changing position even once! To answer your question, yes, we are all back for #IndianIdol16. So is all the incredible talent that Idol brings!!"

He also shared the premiere date of Indian Idol 16. The singer added, "Are you ready? See you from October 18 onwards, on @sonytvofficial," he wrote. Check out the video below!"

Soon after his announcement, the fans and industry members expressed their excitement.

Singer and TV host Meiyang Chang, wrote, "The Gang is back." One user commented, "Wooww this amazing judge panel is back... What a vibe to this judge panel just mind blowing." Another comment read, "So so happy to see you back sir. Love the trio."

In April, Vishal Dadlani shared a farewell post from the show on social media along with a fun video. The post read, “Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, uss se bhi zyada yaad aayegi. Haqq se zyada pyaar milaa hai, iss show ki vajah se. Eternally grateful to everyone involved. I hope the show will miss me as much as I’ll miss it. I’m literally only leaving because I want my time back. Can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year!"

According to reports, Udit Narayan will be hosting this season of Indian Idol 16.
