Following the official confirmation of her marriage, an old interview featuring her former fiancé, Rakshit Shetty, has gone viral once again.
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda recently broke the internet by announcing their upcoming nuptials. In a moving Instagram post, they revealed that they have named their union "The Wedding of VIROSH," a title created by their dedicated fan base. The couple wrote, “Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves—you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today — with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it —‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us — always. Biggest hugs and full love!"
While the excitement for the Udaipur ceremony is at an all-time high, the announcement has sparked a wave of nostalgia regarding Rashmika Mandanna’s previous relationship with Rakshit Shetty.
Rashmika Mandanna And Rakshit Shetty’s History
Rashmika Mandanna’s entry into the film industry was marked by her debut in the 2016 Kannada hit Kirik Party. It was on this set that she met actor-director Rakshit Shetty. Despite a 13-year age gap, the pair began dating and eventually got engaged in 2017 when Rashmika was just 21 years old. However, by 2018, the couple decided to call off the engagement. While the split was a major talking point at the time, both actors chose to remain professional and private, never publicly disclosing the reasons for their separation.
In 2023, while promoting his film Sapta Sagardaache Ello, Rakshit Shetty was asked about his current relationship with Rashmika Mandanna. His response was filled with maturity and praise for her flourishing career in Telugu and Hindi cinema. He stated, “Yes, Rashmika and I are still in touch. She had a big dream in the world of cinema.
