Who Is Anju Krishna? Malayalam Actress Arrested In Drug Case Involving Meth And Ganja

The Anti-Narcotic Intelligence Unit (NAIU) in Chennai's Valasaravakkam made a major drug bust on Thursday. Anju Krishna and along with assistant director Vincy Nivetha and eight others were arrested by the anti-narcotics intelligence unit during this raid with LSD stamps, ganja, and methamphetamine. The arrest came when Inspector Johnny Chellappa of the Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU South) squad received a tip, according to The Times of India.

The investigation into drug gangs associated with the film industry was launched when Vigneshwaran, a native of Nesapakkam, was arrested for drug possession.  During the raid, the ANIU South found six grams of methamphetamine, seven grams of original ganja, 15 grams of cannabis, and one LSD stamp. Police are currently examining the nine mobile devices that were seized in order to get further details on the group's activities.

Police Sent Fake Buyer To Set Trap 

The police sent a fake buyers to meet the supplier and take him to a specific location to catrch them. The police stopped and thoroughly searched Venkatesh Kumar's car when it reached a designated spot in Valasaravakkam, Tamil Nadu. Following the claimed discovery of narcotics, Venkatesh Kumar and other individuals present were taken into custody.

The accused were brought before a magistrate, and the confiscated goods were given to the relevant authorities. They were then remanded to judicial detention by the court for additional inquiry.

Who Is Malayalam Actress Anju Krishna?

Anju Krishna is a rather well-known Malayalam actress who has acted in movies like Akasham Kadann and Aaro. She also starred in Om Vijay's Tamil film Vellimala. Anju Krishna played a significant role in Joju George-led Aaro, which was directed by Kareem.

The 31-year-old actor from Thrissur, Kerala, has been steadily improving her career in Tamil and Malayalam movies.

Vincy Nivetha, an assistant director in the Tamil film business, was also taken into custody by the police. She was there with the group at the time of the arrest, according to officials, Times of India reported.
