Who is Namit Malhotra? Namit Malhotra is all set to produce India's biggest movie, titled Ramayana. The film will have a budget of Rs 835 crore, according to reports. Ramayana will stars A-listers of the Indian film industry, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Yash, among others. Despite inclusion of B-town and South biggies, the film's title card credits producer Namit Malhotra, a seasoned industry professional, though lesser-known to Indian audiences. Who Is Namit Malhotra?

Namit Malhotra is the son of film producer Naresh Malhotra and grandson of cinematographer MN Malhotra. Namit founded Video Workshop, an editing studio, with three college teachers as co-founders. The studio worked on shows like Boogie Woogie and Gaatha and also handled post-production for Channel V.

Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus merged with Double Negative in 2014 to form DNEG, a leading VFX studio. DNEG has worked on films like Blade Runner 2049, Tenet and Dune, winning seven Best Visual Effects Oscars in the last decade.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Namit Malhotra shared, "I'm keen to not just make India proud but excite the world about Indian storytelling and really celebrate global cinema together. It's not like we don't like Hollywood films. It's not like we don't see an Oppenheimer and have a great feeling, or a Forest Gump, or any of these, you know, landmark films. Their stories are universal. I believe this is universal, too. This is that opportunity that I believe I'm pretty fortunate to have received in my life and I hope I can deliver."

The first look of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is finally out, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana. The sneak peek has generated immense buzz, with fans eagerly discussing the highly anticipated film.
